International Press Corps

In the current digital age, media representation and public understanding of global crises increasingly rely on journalists, making the protection of press freedom more urgent than ever. With the rapid rise of AI, misinformation, deepfakes, and digital surveillance have led to heightened cases of threats faced by journalists, particularly women journalists and those reporting from conflict zones. It's up to this committee to address these challenges which requires stronger accountability mechanisms to safeguard independent journalism and uphold freedom of expression.

Chairperson

The International Press Corps is unlike any other committee — delegates are journalists, not diplomats. Their job is to cover the conference itself, investigate committee proceedings, write articles, conduct interviews, and publish. This year's thematic agenda also tackles the growing threat to press freedom in the age of AI, particularly in conflict zones.
